About the Artist
Karen Hahn
Originally hired as a freelance
illustrator 17 years ago, Karen
Hahn has since become one of
Enesco's most valued artists. As
art director and product designer,
Karen has actively participated in
creating some of Enesco's most
popular collections. She is most
recognized for creating the
Friends of the Feather line.
When designing the Foundations collection,
Karen imagined each piece as "a gift of
inspiration." Instead of using traditional
hangtags or packaging to tell the story of each
piece, Karen started writing messages directly on
her drawings. Karen said, "I was looking for a
method where a consumer could pick up a gift and
have the story right in their hand." With her
experience and artistic talent, Karen has truly
become one of the industry's most gifted
individuals.
